About the Site
Introduction
Hello and welcome to Tales of Azryul! This site is a repository for various short stories, worlds, character profiles, brainstorming ideas, and various world building works. The explored genres will vary from fantasy to sci-fi to modern fantasy and more inbetween. The stories will follow many themes and, though there is no central story planned, there may be many stories that all connect into a larger narrative down the road. For now enjoy what this repository has to offer.
This site will largely be narrated by the character Cecil Palagin; an agent working for an orginazation known as The Archivists (more on those soon), with plans for more cast to also narrate as time goes on. As such you may notice a switch in tones from one section to another. This is normal and planned for. Please do not take their narration as aboslute fact, merely observation as they document the worlds and peoples they observe and encounter. This is to allow for some wiggle room for what the narrators believe is possible and what actually is possible within the stories that are written. There may also be some banter between narrators as time goes on and new information comes to light.
Most importantly thank you for taking the time to come and see this silly little project of mine come to life. I hope you stick around for what is sure to be an interesting project for myself and hopefully for you as well!
About the Author
I go by s-deciple on neocities where this site is hosted but most call me Seph, the name of an early RP character and self insert for my early writing, though the character has since taken on a life of his own and will get his own entries on the site. I have been writing on and off for the last twenty or so years and have recently gotten to a point that I'm willing to put some of my work and world building out into the world.
My interests besides writing are playing and running TTRPGs like Dungeons and Dragons and Vampire the Masquerade, video games (currently on a playthrough of Hollow Knight and Silksong), reading, programming, and literary Role Playing. My current focus is not only on building this site but also improving on my current coding knowledge and skillset, as well as learning new skills along the way.
